The Summit Leadership Experience
This is not a retreat. This is a reset.
What it is
The Summit Leadership Experience is a 3 or 4-day immersive leadership program held in the Colorado mountains, designed for leaders who operate in high-stakes, high-consequence industries — construction, mining, and energy. If your leaders make decisions that affect crews, projects, and outcomes where the margin for error is thin, this program was built for them.
This is not classroom-based training and it is not an off-the-shelf program. Every Summit Leadership Experience is built around the specific challenges, culture, and goals of your organization. We learn what your people need through a discovery process before we ever design the experience. What gets delivered is built for your environment — not borrowed from someone else's.
Your people will leave more confident, more capable, and better prepared to lead under pressure.

Two Tracks, One Standard
The Summit Leadership Experience offers two tracks based on leadership level — ensuring the content, pace, and expectations are right for where your people are today.
Field Leader Track — 3 Days
For frontline leaders responsible for crews, schedules, and day-to-day decisions. Built for the people who are in the work every day — superintendents, general foremen, site leads, and emerging field leaders across construction, mining, and energy operations.
Strategic Leader Track — 4 Days
For leaders overseeing multiple crews, projects, or functions who need to develop influence beyond their immediate team. Built for senior leaders who are accountable for outcomes at an organizational level — project executives, directors, operations leaders, and those preparing for the next level of responsibility.
Both tracks use the same immersive, hands-on approach. The difference is depth, complexity, and the level of leadership challenge we put in front of participants.
Built Around Your Organization
Before we design anything, we do the work to understand what your organization actually needs. Through our discovery process we identify the leadership challenges that are costing you the most — in performance, culture, trust, or execution — and we build the program around those.
This means every cohort is different. The topics, the scenarios, the team challenges, and the facilitation approach are all calibrated to your people and your industry. You are not getting a program we ran somewhere else with your logo on it.
The Team Challenge
A highlight of both tracks is the Team Challenge — an immersive, hands-on group exercise that brings leadership principles to life in real time. Participants must assess a high-pressure scenario, assign roles, build a plan, execute under pressure with curveballs thrown in, and present their outcome to stakeholders.
Teams are scored on leadership behavior, communication, and results — not just whether they completed the task. It is the moment in the program where everything gets tested, and it consistently produces the most significant breakthroughs.
The scenario is built to reflect the kind of operational pressure your industry actually faces.
Pre-Work and Assessments
Two weeks before the program, every participant completes foundational assessments and a one-on-one virtual coaching session to set personal objectives and prepare for the experience. Assessments include an Insights Discovery profile and a 360-degree feedback tool. The TKI Conflict Mode Instrument is available as an add-on for teams where conflict is a significant factor.
This pre-work ensures participants arrive with self-awareness and intention — not just showing up cold.
Post-Program Reinforcement
Learning that stays in the room is not learning. Following the program, Summit Ridge conducts group coaching sessions at 45 and 90 days post-program to reinforce concepts, troubleshoot real-world application, and hold participants accountable to the commitments they made during the experience.
What's Included
Summit Ridge manages everything so your team can focus entirely on the experience.
Included in the program: up to 25 participants per cohort, venue in Estes Park Colorado, lodging, meals, all materials, assessments, coaching sessions, facilitation, outdoor experiential activities, the Team Challenge, and post-program reinforcement sessions.

Is This Right for Your Organization?
If your leaders operate in high-stakes environments and you are serious about building leadership capability that actually holds up under pressure — not just in a classroom — this program was built for you.
